A little more about me and what I do....
I have been a psychotherapist since 2008 working in the NHS and in private practice. I offer a caring and flexible approach to your individual needs. I am trained in a variety of counselling approaches which enables me to help you find your own answers and guide through difficult times. I believe that my warm and down to earth nature will offer a space to help you find solutions to challenging times and have the opportunity for a satisfying and fulfil
Sessions are held in Ovingdean which is just outside Brighton. There is plenty of free parking on site.
I am also able to offer therapy within a 60 minute radius of Brighton, this will incur a travel cost in accordance with my hourly rate
My focus is on helping clients overcome a range of psychological and emotional issues to get life back on track as quickly and effectively as possible.
Where possible you will be seen quickly and I aim to get back to you within a few hours. Evening appointments are available Tuesday to Thursday.
My Experience
I trained as a counsellor in 2008 and have worked in private practice and in the NHS. I have experience of working both with individuals and with groups. I have experience of working with clients with a wide range of issues from teenagers to older adults. I tailor my approach to your individual needs for you to get the most out of your therapy.
Insomnia
I am trained in CBTi and devised a group sleep programme at the Sleep Disorder Centre at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. Insomnia is a sleep disorder characterised by having difficulties with falling and / or staying asleep which can lead to feelings of depression and anxiety and feelings of isolation.
In Addition
I am the Psychology Liaison Officer for Facial Therapy Services UK which supports clients who have experienced a facial palsy. In 2018 I ran a day workshop for doctors and physiotherapists who work with patients who have facial difference. I have also lectured regularly to multi disciplinary teams around working with clients who have experienced trauma, illness or other life changing event

As I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches this enables me to tailor your therapy to suit your individual needs. I tend to combine CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) which focusses on how thoughts can impact on emotions whilst exploring childhood experiences. This can facilitate enduring change.
Supervision
I have been a supervisor for over 8 years
I have gained experience from working in a range of settings including the NHS and in private practice.
The supervision style I adopt is supportive, working with each supervisee at their level of training and experience.
Fees
I offer free phone or email consultation prior to an initial appointment to discuss your reasons for accessing therapy and to answer any questions you may have.
Individual therapy - Between £55 - £60 (60 minute session)
Insomnia therapy - Between £55- £65 (6 x 50 minute session fortnightly)
Supervision - £60 (60 minute sessions usually monthly)
